LuLaRoe is probably something you’ve heard about by now, but if you haven’t let me give you the details. LuLaRoe is a direct sales company formed in May 2013. The original product was unhemmed maxi skirts that the founder sold out of the trunk of her car. Today, there are over twenty-eight thousand consultants selling a full array of clothes in pop up boutiques in homes around the country and through Facebook groups (“VIP pages”). It’s come a long way from maxis being sold out of the trunk!
As with many direct sales companies, LuLaRoe is a multi-level marketing company (“MLM”). Most MLM companies (think Mary Kay, Avon, Rodan + Fields) give you a bonus check when you sign someone up, but LuLaRoe doesn’t work quite the same way. If you sign someone up, you don’t get a bonus check right away – you only get a bonus if that person sells actively. And you sell actively. So no sitting back and counting your money, you have to work for it.
LuLaRoe is changing my life. It's hard work, but it's rewarding work.
